INTEGRATED DESIGN: SYNERGY BETWEEN FUNCTIONALITY AND AESTHETICS

Considering architecture as an expression of design highlights the fundamental interconnection between these two disciplines. Separating them would be counterproductive if the goal is to create a harmonious building. Effective design requires a close collaboration between architecture, design and engineering. The aim of the event is to demonstrate how the synergy between the different disciplines involved represents an added value to obtain an architecture that is both functional and aesthetically refined. In support of the the theoretical theses proposals, case studies will be presented.
